By S Robertson. Mississippi Stae has offered Hughes, whose father coaches with the Bulldogs. He says that even though his father is at MSU, he will look at all his options and decide what is best for him.

Oak Grove standout Jay Hughes pocketed his fourth offer last week when David Cutcliffe and Duke made their offer.
The offer from the Blue Devils is the fourth over all for the talented Hughes. He holds previous offers from Mississippi State, Southern Miss and Tennessee.

“Coach Frank Wilson and Coach Orgeron gave me my first offer from Tennessee,” Hughes told InsideTennessee.com Wednesday. “Coaches are like family, Coach Frank came with us to Southern Mississippi, we have been with him for four years, he is a great guy and a great coach, and he is like a part of my family.”

Hughes also likes the idea of playing for Orgeron.

“He brings a lot of energy to the game,” Hughes said. “He is an outstanding recruiter and is the type coach I would love to play for.”

“Coach Monte is one of the best in the business,” Hughes said. “They have built an outstanding staff.”

“The LSU camp was no where near as good as the one at Tennessee,” Hughes said. “A lot more top athletes were at the Tennessee camp, a lot more talent.”

“At Tennessee I actually got winded,” Hughes said. “Everyone was flying around the ball at UT, going full speed in all the drills, the other camps were a lot more laid back."

Per Scout... Vandy is his leader with Miss St. and UT also at the top...

They are recruiting me the hardest. I know I can get a great education there. Mississippi State is definitely up there along with Tennessee at this point...

Earlier today! I think he's a vol.
