I agreed with you until I saw this. There was a guy named Neyland...you may have heard of him. UT was great long before Fulmer. We were never off the map. We appeared to have a huge class comming in before Fulmer was let go, and managed to keep it in the top 10. Kiffin had a huge class comming in before he ran off, and Dooley appears to be on the verge of keeping it in the top 5 with even less time to work with than Kiff had last year. It's not Kiffin, it's UT. Whether you like him or not, Fulmer is the one that put UT on the map. Despite what Kiffin would like us to believe, we were able to recruit before he got here, and we're able to recruit now that he's gone.
I wonder if Chaz gives the new OL coach a chance for an in-home before NSD. I think this guys credentials are about as good as it gets on the college level, and have to applaud CDD on the hire.
I would have to think it would help...Kiffin really didn't bring anything to the table aside from the staff, and surely Chaz can look at the need here compared to UF.
Seems like most every year there is at least one or two NSD surprises...I sure hope this is one of them.

Neyland did make UT what it is today. He gets overshadowed a bit by Bear Bryant (as does everyone else), but is one of the greatest the game has ever seen. If I'm not mistaken he never lost to Bryant either.
? overshadowed by bear bryant? bryant lost to General Neyland every time they played...not to mention the fact that Neyland has the longest winning streak in the history of ncaa football.
Who said anything about an "in-home"?
You said "who's to say the new OL coach isn't in Tampa right now?". I assumed you meant for an in home with Chaz and his parents. Since the dead period prohibits off campus contact between coaches and recruits right now that's why I responded. So even if you were referring to bumping into him on the street, it's a violation. Please do explain what else you could be referring to.
Yeah, that's why I just said that. Read my post before you try to argue it. And yes, he does get overshadowed by Bryant. I didn't say he should, but he does.? overshadowed by bear bryant? bryant lost to General Neyland every time they played...not to mention the fact that Neyland has the longest winning streak in the history of ncaa football.
As time passes we will all see it was good to have Coach X right after Fulmar, I see it being a good thing for are coach now. We have someone else to hate.
