He seems to be from a really good background. His parents have been involved with his recruitment early and he's taking a ton of unofficials.

Khairi Fortt, the 6-foot-2.5, 220-pound four-star outside linebacker from Stamford, Conn., has around 20 total scholarship offers and says that every day he’s focusing on a different school.

“I’m looking at all of them right now,” Fortt said. “Every day I go through the stuff they send me and do some research on the schools. I’m keeping a list of some stats and stuff and my parents and I plan on narrowing it down to 10 in May.

“College is for the next four years and 40 years so I have to make sure I make the right decision,” he said.

Khairi Fortt could be ready to release a list of his top eight or 10 schools in the next couple of weeks. A few teams certain to make the cut, according to sources, include Penn State, Virginia, Boston College, Florida and Southern California. Penn State made quite an impression on Fortt last weekend at its spring game.

Khairi Fortt (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) passed the 'look test,' then showed why he is one of the country's top prospects. Fortt moved with grace and power and was very difficult to block. He also showed great instincts, the ability to drop into coverage, and the speed to stay with running backs coming out of the backfield on pass routes. Fortt projects as a difference maker at the next level.
