I strongly agree.

I’m very happy Tennessee defeated Pittsburgh in a thrilling game that showed Tennessee is a resilient team.

Also I won’t overreact to this great win because Tennessee has to play better when they play SEC teams because they’ll lose to Kentucky, Florida, and other SEC teams if they self destruct with turnovers, and other mistakes.

We can be better in all phases of the game. The positive to this game is the defense now has something to hold on to... On the road in a tough environment and to seal the deal. Sometimes some confidence can be a great thing

I'll just watch the season unfold. As I said in another thread stop setting yourself and others up for disappointment. They're a long way from where they need to be.
This team could win ,9 or they could win 7.
Just relax and enjoy the ride.

Not so sure about that. I will say two years ago or possibly even last year this is a game that we lose and tonight we found a way to win. So, the progress is there. But, it also shows us that we have a real coach for the first time in a long time so we need to be very patient. I think 2024 is the season where you expect something big. If it happens sooner, awesome.

We can beat any team we play.

We probably won’t do that.

I’m on the fence as to whether we can beat Bama and Georgia. But we might steal one.

If things go right we also beat LSU and Florida.

Kentucky will give us a fight. They always do lately. We win that in a dog fight.

The rest of the teams don’t stand a chance.

Disagree. Uk hadn’t beat UF 2 times in 40 years yet they did it back to back.
Why? Because they are better.
We lost to Vandy and UK for the first time in many young Vol fans lifetime recently.
Not because we had there numbers but because we were better, then because of Dufus Botch and Gump we weren’t.
We will beat them IF we’re better

If the offensive playcalling becomes above average we're definitely 10-2.

These offensive lulls are a serious problem.
That starts with Heupel, directly. His offense.

We are probably a better team then Florida but we will not beat them with the same mistakes as yesterday.

Florida has our number until we prove otherwise. I hope it’s this year.

10-2 is not the floor. 1st 2 wins out of the way mean that 6-6 is the absolute floor, with 8-5 looking very promising. No reason we should lose to Akron, Mizzu, Vandy, or TN Martin. Beat UF and I think 9-10 wins is probable.

Totally agree. If we play like yesterday we will lose. If we play good on both sides of the ball and special teams we can win.

I may get a bit excited if we beat Florida. Otherwise cautious optimism. We should be 5-0 when we meet Alabama, but I will believe it when I see it.

8 games is the floor now. Go 4-4 in conference and you got that. Tennessee has a lot to clean up.. Saturday was a comedy of errors... You can't play that way in the SEC even against decent teams, you'll go home with a L..
