Espn had us rated as the #1 program in the country that a new coach could come in and have a quick turn around, where changes at HC were expected at seasons end

Maybe so but I think people are greatly over estimating the amount of quality SEC talent that will be on the 2013 team.

This just means that the people at ESPN realize just like many of us do just exactly how incompetent Dooley is.

According to the article they wrote alongside it, it wasn't mean in a "they're just a good coach away from an SEC/BCS championship next year" though

It was more the program has momentum/is on the up/ already gone through it's downslide/instability in the end of Fulmer and Kiffin period (as opposed/compared to other programs)

But we aren't a good program and you can't recruit to UT and we have big bad scary Florida and Georgia in our division and we need to stop living in the past and except the fact that the best we can be now is a .500 ball team... Dooley needs an extension after this report just so a kid will know who his coach will be if he ends up at UT after he decommits from 6 other schools.

It'll be same thing again. There isn't a coach in the country who could come in here next year and right off the bat start winning big. Not with our schedule.

The same gooders will be calling for his head by midseason.

Tell it like it is...after some of the skill players leave this year, 2013 will be as big a disappointment as 2012 maybe worse if possible...we will be lucky to go 6-6 next year 4-8 is not out of the question....without a Big Coaching Hire UT will be playing 2nd fiddle to Vandy....it is what it is.....SAD
