Yeah if you watch his film against UGA you'll realize no one can really cover him. I mean he manhandled them and Bama. He's too big and strong.
We have a running QB so he won't be doubled all season. He might get doubled in certain situations but the majority of time he'll just pull the opponents CB1. When we go 4 wide u can't double Tillman all game bc that would mean you're trying to stop the run with 6 in the box. U can't stop HH & Small with 6 in the box.I believe he can if someone emerges as a strong number 2 and a decent Slot WR to avoid him getting double covered all season. I dont think they'll have a problem scheming him open but they won't have to do that much scheming if the Defenses have to cover the entire field.
1st, ask yourself who on our schedule has a CB1 that's actually better than Tillman. 2nd, ask yourself how are teams gonna double him when our entire offense is based off spreading the field with multiple WR's. If u double him u still have to cover 3 more WR's. That means you're using 5 guys to cover 4. It also means you're playing with 6 in the box against 5 OL, 1 RB, & a running QB. That's the beauty of this offense, we force u to make a choice. Trying to takeaway Tillman means we'll probably run for an insane amount on that day bc u can't stop both.Only if Bru, Hyatt and Callaway step up big time. Else Tillman will be covered by the best CB of another team and possibly double teamed or safety on cover. He will be out of passing attack a lot due to this.
1,000 percent agree.I think it is time for all vol fans to realize all offensive records set before last year are on the chopping block. We have legit shots at our players being ranked in the top 5 in the NCAA for production.
In fact, it may be better to discuss which UT offensive records will be the last to be broken rather than discussing if records will fall.
