#1 Kick Returner
#1 Punt Returner
#8 Punter
#81 Kicker (percentage)

All coming back for 2016.

So my question is, do we have the best Special Teams in the country in 2016?

If not the best, close to it. Don't forget kick/punt coverage too. Those units were incredible all year.

Field Goals?

Cost us a game or two in 2015.

40+yd fgs were his weakness as they are with every kicker. I can only think of one FG he missed inside 40 that really hurt and that was vs Arkansas. Am I mistaken?

#14 in kickoff return defense.

........ #101 in Punt return defense. That one I don't really understand.

I think its more of a percentage that were returned due to the fact that very few of Daniels kicks were returned but a couple were returned real good (like Davis of uga getting the block in the back to spring him 81 yds).

Not that I am aware of. I can still hear the ball clanking off of the upright. That and the Williams fumble inside the 10 are the two really bad memories I have from that game.

Who do we have behind Medley? I know we have him 2 more years but it is nice to know we have someone capable behind him if God forbid he gets hurt.....

Also what, if any impact, does Mark Elder's departure have on special teams?

Are we turning into Punter U or what?

I doubt teams will kick to us next year, unfortunately. Our return teams were fun to watch..

The low ranking is all the bogus UGA return. Further, if you look at Medley's % the second half of the year, he'd easily be in the top 50.

I know it aint popular. But before Medley gets out of here he could be a beast. The kids got a seriously active leg. If he can just lock in the consistency, then he could be special. Butch sure believes in him.

I don't know crap about kicking, so don't know if his issues are mental or mechanical. Just saying, if he straightens those things out, he could be a weapon.

Could win us a close one or two this year if he does.

3 of those field goals were 49+ yards. Only the elite in the NFL hit more 50+ yarders than they miss. And that's not factoring in one of them was in the swamp to win the game after the team's epic collapse, which he only missed by a few feet.

Its' been a long time, IMHO, since we were so solid on special teams across the board. During Dooley days, I would cringe every time we did anything on special teams.

I think that Arkansas KO return for a TD was the low point ............

Yes and no. First 3, yes, they were each outstanding. Medley otoh, as evidenced by his national ranking, was a fairly atrocious place kicker. He must get substantially, dramatically better in 2016.

He kicked much better in the back half of the season. Hopefully, he's latched onto something mentally that he can carry into next year.

He's got plenty of leg. He just needs to get his head right.
