Here are my game by game predictions base on a stout defense and an improved offense. Never a homer, these are realistic expectations. Posted this earlier in the wrong forum.

UT-WKU---Vols ready to hit somebody----49-6---(1-0)
UT-UCLA---Tenness plays BOTH halves---30-20--(2-0)
UT-FLA-----Gators too much at home---- 20-38--(2-1)
UT-Ohio----Vols bounce back vs Bobcats- 42-12--(3-1)
UT-Aub'n---Reverse last year's score------14-12--(4-1)
UT-UGA----Kiffin gets signature win-------28-24--(5-1)
UT-ALA-----Tennessee almost------------18-24--(5-2)
UT-SC------Must win situation------------27-23--(6-2)
UT-Memp---Looking ahead to Miss--Nah---35-17--(7-2)
UT-Miss---- COULD go either way--but----20-26--(7-3)
UT-Vandy---Vandy play Vols tough--------31-20--(8-3)
UT-UK------25 straight---UKANT----------31-24--(9-3)

That's it----9-3 and a nice bowl. Successful debut.:pepper:

Looks good on paper but I can't imagine our defense giving up on average 18 + points a game. IMO that is.

18 was about the average last year----Points against reflect special teams and scores off turnovers--looks like there may be a few of those. I don't expect to have ALL the correct scores--lol.:shades:

I love that someone on here has optimism...I want to agree with you badly but I just don't know yet...I think I am gonna hold judgement until after the UCLA game. There is just no way to know what this team will play like.

I think that win-loss record is very attainable. We lose the games we are supposed to (UF, Bama, Ole Miss) and pull out the games that are a wash (UGA, USC).

happy with 8-4

satisfied with 7-5, which I think is the most realistic for this year.

I love your optimism but our offense scoring more than 30 in any game is a stretch for those early games

not bad. probably an "at best" scenario IMO, but it can still be done if the team plays up to it's full potential. i still say this is a 7-8 win team in the regular season.

In the SI Tennessee Edition I think they are quoted as saying a ten win season isn't outta reach so its really not that far of a reach if thing fall in favor of us..

This is a very realistic goal, especially if you consider how may home games we have this year.

We should have been 8-4 last year and we were awful...9-3 this season is realistic....

Exactly. Even with our anemic offense. Every member of this team is better this year, they love the staff, the simplified offense, and are highly motivated. These guys can win 9 ----no question about it.:eek:k:

N.Texas' offense was a lot better than the Clawfense. with any luck they will have forgotten that tragedy of an offense from last year & hang half a hundy on WKU & another 40 on UCLA.

We beat 1-2 of the big three this year

We drop 1 to the likes of a UK or S Carolina this year
