Clemson has offered teammates from Gadsden City High in Gadsden, AL. DB Dre Kirkpatrick (6-3 180) also has offers from Florida, Florida State, North Carolina, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Auburn and Southern Cal according to recruiting coordinator Ali Smith. Last season Kirkpatrick had 60 tackles and 6 interceptions. WR Kendall Kelly (6-3 205) also has offers from North Carolina, Colorado, Florida, Florida State and Auburn according to Smith. Both players are going to Alabama's junior day and will go to summer camp at Texas.

Clemson recruiter Dabo Swinney was one of the coaches to scout WR Kendall Kelly (6-3 215) of Gadsden, AL this spring, and Kelly remains interested in playing for the Tigers' receivers coach. "He said I would be a good fit to play in their offense," Kelly said. Other schools to come thru this spring include Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Southern Cal, Oregon, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida and Florida State. Kelly said one of his camp stops this summer will be Clemson. He's not sure about the others. He does not have any favorites and won't narrow his list until his season begins. "They're all recruiting me about the same." Kelly caught 32 passes for around 900 yards and 13 touchdowns last season.

on a side note, this guy Dabo Sweeney looks to be the second coming of Rodney Garner.

I think it is a stretch that we will land this kid b/c we are not in his top 5. Here is ESPN's take on him: "On the hoof, Kelly is a great looking prospect and not a lot of 6'3 wide outs can run and accelerate like he can. His build, strength and speed make him a vertical threat and red zone target. He is a competitive, tough receiver with solid open field running skills to boot. Is a quick and explosive off the line. Has good short area burst. Can catch the ball without breaking stride and will get upfield immediately after the catch. Plucks nicely and tucks right away and he appears to have strong hands. Flashes the ability to make the spectacular grab in contested battles. He has good body control, change-of-direction, and adjustment to the ball while in the air. He has good leaping ability and will win most battles. He is very good on slants and short-to-intermediate routes including screens because of his quickness and size to shed tacklers. He creates good separation with a burst out of his cuts. He is not an accomplished route runner yet, but has loads of upside to supplement his tools in this area. This is a player that is all athleticism, but not much polish to this point. Must learn how to attack defenders and understand coverage. Speed, quickness and size allow for him to just overwhelm an opponent without the little things, but that will come in time and greatly enhance his overall production. Overall, Kelly is one of this classes most underrated wide receiver prospects, but he is raw and when the tools are polished up, he could really develop down the road. Very good player with upside to be great."

There were rumors that Fulmer was wanting Dabo as an addition to the new offensive staff...I believe the idea was to have Dabo come in as the new tight ends coach.

Obviously, that never went anywhere...I don't know how serious Fulmer's interest was, and don't know if Dabo would have been interested in coming to Rocky Top.

He's a former Alabama player and coach...I just hope that he never makes his way back down there.

Im with you...Saban doesnt need any help. If he's on the market Phil better find a place for him.

I think we are good at the WR position with Stokes and hopefully Marlon Brown coming in and jones, paige, moore. While it'd be great to get him, it won't be that big of a loss if we lose him.

Im really looking for Paige to make himself known this year, so I agree that if we're going to miss on an out of state wr, this is the year to do it.

Looks like we made his final 10 or 11.

"I have narrowed it down to about 10 or 11 schools," he said. "They are Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Tennessee, Texas, USC and Oregon. I am going to try to narrow the list down some point during the season."

is this a joke, we have jones, he is gone after next year, so we would need to start the recruiting process next year?
