He is currently playing in the minors I believe for Baltimore. He is now 27 yo and looking to pursue a career in college. Already took an UOV to UA and is getting interest from AU and UT according to our Rivals site. He plans on enrolling in Jan to participate in spring. The best part is his original contract with the Marlins pays for his college and it I remember correctly the rules adn he is the one that initiates the contact it may not count against the 85 either. He would be a non recruited walk-on. So a name to watch out for.

Very interesting. Any idea what type of position he could play? Brent Brewer was 24 I think, but 27? Wow.

It's going to be weird after the first spring when he goes to bama and saban says son were going to have to pull your scholarship. But coach I am not on scholarship.

Weeden for Okie State was 24 I think and Weinke for FSU was 26 when they returned from baseball. So who knows. I also just saw that he is currently listed as 6'3 205 on one site.

Jai was an exceptional athlete in HS on a team with several other good to above average athletes; however, fundamentals were ummm < . At his age and rust and lack of fundamentals, I don't see him being anything other than a potential special teams contributor.
