With the remaining schedule, IMO losses against Miss State and Kentucky then getting blown out in Nashville against Vandy plus going on the road to lose to Steve Spurrier, then the dreadful beatdown we shall get at home against Bama will put a good end to the season. We might pull it out vs Wyoming if we're lucky. Hopefully people will start sitting on their money more, they are the ones that can get something done. If the people giving the university money stop, UT will follow that money if that means having Fulmer gone. Terrible year to be a vols fan, I have seen high school teams in middle tennessee that i think would have a legit shot at beating them. this is a damn disgrace to Tennessee.

MSU, Kentucky, Vandy, and USC are not very good football teams. They are, at best, solid on one side of the football.

Im with Cotton, we CAN win 5 of the last 6. All the teams we play except Bama have weakness on one side of the ball or the other. Bama is another animal they are a good, well balanced football team. They did get taken to the limit by Kentucky and maybe with any luck they will be looking pass us and we can sneak in there and pull that one off.

We'll lose to alabama and south carolina most likely. The rest we will have a shot at winning. But i see at least one more loss in there. Probably puts us at 5-7 on the season and no bowl. Then its open season on the coaching staff.

Being 0-3 does not make 0-8 "very likely." MSU, Ky, USCe, Vandy are all very very beatable teams. We're playing bad, but we still have quite a bit of talent and an improving QB effort. Defense will play much better against these next teams.

Alabama is beatable. I don't particularly see it happening, but it's a shot. Winning 5 of the next 6 is more likely than losing them.

well i dunno if you guys have looked at the sec standings lately, but we are last, regardless of who we played.

I know exactly what the standings are. We have also played two of the three best teams on our schedule, with the notable exception of Bama. All of our opponents, save the Tide, are no better than Auburn, who has better athletes than any of them, and we will not go into an environment as hostile as Jordan-Hare.

That doesn't mean we will win all of them, but I think going 0-fer is a long shot.

Vandy and Kentcuky are not likely to lose to us in my book, the others we would need everything clicking, it doesnt matter how good our D is, Berry and crew can only do so much :(

In other news: I found a dollar. That must mean that I will find 1,000,000 this fall.

You mean the Vandy team that limped past a bad Auburn team and lost to an atrocious MSU team? And the KY team that beat MTSU by one yard?

Kentucky's offense is as lousy as ours. Ours, at least, SHOULD be, and can be, better.

I'm not sure how Vandy has beaten some of the teams they have beaten, and the meat of their schedule is ahead of them. I expect them to have rolled over long before UT comes to Nashville. The real question is whether Tennessee will have done the same.

hey say what you want, we didnt make it past auburn. everyone that played sports growing up had ugly wins, but guess what its a W no matter how ya look at it.

There's a better chance of Vandy being 5-5 when they play us than us being 3-7 when we play them.

We didn't make it past Auburn with Crompton. Stephens is playing night and day better.

A W is a W no matter how ya look at it...EXCEPT when you're trying to prognosticate what is "very likely" to happen 6 weeks from now. Even with "w's" the teams remaining on our schedule, save Alabama, are playing as bad or worse than we are.

I predict that we will probably end up 4 and 8. I think we will lose to Kentucky or Vandy, at least one of them. They will be chomping at the bit to beat us sense we are that bad this year, we will pull one off but not both. We will beat Wyoming and probably South Carolina. This weekend will be a tough one. But i bet they will work like heck to win that game huh Fulmer.:salute:

I'm actually expecting a good finish to the season, unfortunately.

The Independence Bowl is going to suck.

The Independence Bowl is going to suck.

The SEC now has 4 bowl games designated for .500 teams. Should we become bowl eligible, don't expect us to land in the one farthest from Tennessee.
