⚽️Lady Vols Soccer: Countdown To Kickoff #20 MAC MIDGLEY

Tennessee Soccer picks up a commitment from 2027 prospect Carsyn Deligans.

Deligans is the top prospect in the state of Florida and a top 35 prospect nationally, per Top Drawer Soccer.

Deligans is a midfielder on the IMG Academy Girls Academy team. She is a decorated player with a number of honors. Deligans would’ve been considered a top player in the 2026 class to give some perspective. She has big time potential. This season, she’s enjoyed a dominant run of form for IMG Academy in the Girls Academy. She’s right footed, but not afraid to pull the shot off with her left when the opportunity presents itself. Last season, it felt like her finishing was the highlight of her game. This season, her playmaking has been taking the forefront. She’s shown incredible vision and helped some of her teammates to have outstanding campaigns with her passing. Deligans continues to elevate her game and has proven to be one of the best in the Girls Academy over the past two seasons. Her defensive intensity could improve in the future and probably will be asked to by the type of college programs that will look to recruit her. She can be passive off the ball as a defender. That said, her offensive contributions are what makes her a top player from this class.

Nobody is wearing this number on the 2025 squad.

These are our past Lady Vols to wear the #31

A favorite was Mackenzie George. She was a beast when she had the ball in the box at UT, and still is in the Pros at Brooklyn FC.

LVFL Rhian Wilkinson
A class act 👏

Wales manager Rhian Wilkinson has just climbed over the side hoardings (much to the initial shock of security) and is shaking the hands of all the Wales fans who are in St Gallen for Wales’ final Euro 2025 group stage game. Class act from a manager who turned a dream a reality.

Nobody is wearing number 30 this year. So I’m going with a legend.

Congrats to LVFL Mackenzie George

All-League forward joins Carolina Ascent after starting all 28 matches for Brooklyn FC in 2024/25

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 16, 2025) – Carolina Ascent FC announced today the transfer acquisition of forward Mackenzie George from Brooklyn FC ahead of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season.

“We are so happy to welcome Mackenzie to the Carolinas,” shared Carolina Head Coach Philip Poole. “Signing Mackenzie is a statement of intent from our organization to be able to acquire a proven USL ‘all-league’ attacking threat. Mackenzie is a top performer in the Super League who will fit in with our style of play. She will excite fans and has shown she has the ability to be a match winner.”

A standout performer during the inaugural season, George started all 28 matches for Brooklyn FC, tallying four goals and five assists. Her five assists ranked tied for fifth across the league. She was named to the USL Super League Team of the Month in both September and March, and her consistent impact throughout the season earned her a spot on the All-League Second Team.

“I’ve never been so thrilled to join a new team,” expressed George. “I watched from afar what this team established last year and I pretty quickly knew I wanted to be a part of it. The professionalism, and forward-driven nature of the club and the players is something I feel extremely lucky to have the opportunity to be added to. And I think Charlotte might just be the perfect place for Rocky and I!”

George began her collegiate career at Cal Poly, where she earned Big West Freshman of the Year honors in 2018 after starting every match. She transferred to the University of Tennessee ahead of the 2019 season and went on to become a standout performer for the Volunteers. Over four years in Knoxville, George started 73 matches, recording 15 goals and 21 assists, while helping lead the program to multiple postseason appearances. She was a two-time All-SEC selection, earned First Team All-Region honors in 2021, and twice appeared in TopDrawerSoccer’s Postseason Top 100.

This marks Carolina Ascent’s second-ever intra-league transfer, following the acquisition of forward Riley Parker from Tampa Bay Sun FC in January 2025. With the additions of Luana Grabias, Alyssa Walker, Macey Bader, and George, Carolina Ascent continues to strengthen an already potent attack.

Alivia Stott is a Knoxville favorite, coming from Bearden High School. She is strong and fast and we are looking forward seeing her play for the Lady Vols during her sophomore season.
