You are right. Seemingly whatever needed to be done to get Joe the talent to compete in the SEC was done. It is now on him and his staff to illustrate that they can utilize that talent. I have been very impressed with the skills of some of the players, but a few of them actually seem to be regressing, which is not on them but the staff. It’s not just the last two losses, we’re sitting on a 4-game winless skid, and that’s a legitimate concern. Going from scoring at will in August to struggling to even build through the midfield into the attacking third in SEC play is tough to watch. When conference opponents park deep and clog the central channels, our buildup completely stalls out before we can even generate clean entry passes toward the box.
That said, the quality on this roster hasn't vanished overnight. The issue right now is purely tactical: adapting to SEC low blocks. It’s on CJK and the coaching staff to fix how we advance the ball, utilize the flanks to stretch deep defenses, and find ways to establish real pressure in the final third before we drop any more points.

Not sure getting up in grills is absolutely required but the only Championship coach I ever played for was known, to those closest to him, to get physically ill before big games. His entire staff would get in yer grill. I seen him hang from a facemask or two…Show some damn emotion!!
This product is very hard to watch...
Top players are gonna stop.coming here if something doesn't change..Not sure getting up in grills is absolutely required but the only Championship coach I ever played for was known, to those closest to him, to get physically ill before big games. Not sure what the answer is, but the results aren’t matching the talent on board. My humble newb opinion…
I completely disagree that playing here is seen as "easy." These players are grinding through a grueling SEC schedule, and the effort on the field is obvious every time they play.Soccer is not only a non revenue sport it is a big money loser. Danny will do nothing meaning Joe will continue to recruit well and have fading results. I really beginning to believe that word is out that playing for Ut is easy and that is attractive if not successful.
Who else thinks Danny needs to move on from Joe?
I agree with chuckiepoo and mudcat that the results aren't matching the caliber of this roster right now, but I don't think it's a matter of effort or anyone giving up. These girls are competing hard and putting in the work every single match.
When SEC teams drop into a deep low block, it's just a tough puzzle to crack for any group. It’s less about pointing fingers and more about finding that single spark or tactical tweak to unlock the attack. The talent and coaching baseline are both there, we just need to help these players find better spacing and solutions to get back on track.

Well said, Volstylexx. The talent is clearly there, but hitting this late-season wall is tough. This 8-day break has to be a complete tactical reset for the staff so these girls can finish the season on a high note.Danny has kept women’s coaches who have achieved far, far less than Kirk. He’s not going anywhere, but it is disheartening to see us wilt down the stretch for the second straight season when the potential for something special was evident both years. Hoping the 8 day break gives them the competitive desire to refocus or it’s going to be a big thud to end the season.
