Yeah, CTV hates his alma mater now. He is going to poach every major recruit from that state and publicly embarrass them as often as he can.

Biggest L in Mizzou Athletics recent history. Thanks, dummies!

Apparently he also had the Arky pitching coach lined up to go with him as well as a multi-million dollar commitment from Max Scherzer.

That turn of events really changed the trajectory of the two programs. We should all thank our lucky stars they went another direction. No telling where we’d be today if they hired him.

I don't think he's too bitter about it.

He took their ace from last year as a transfer and he looks to have the top prospect from Missouri currently committed for both 2025 and 2026.

Ok, maybe a little bitter

Safe to say Tennessee wouldn’t be 27-1 & #1.

That said, I’ve long said there was no excuse for Tennessee to not be competitive in the SEC. I’ve been involved in high level travel ball in MT for almost 25 yrs. I know a lot of outstanding players who went elsewhere cause of mismanagement, poor recruiting, etc. I can speak totally from experience.

Many of these guys went to Vandy, Ga Tech Auburn, ole miss, etc. Few were recruited by Tennessee.

I agree that’s what he meant re: “nasty” He loves when our fans are loud and rowdy, especially the student section.

Although he said it’s now in the past, I think he’s still irked by what happened. He’s big on valuing loyalty and has made it a point to say Tennessee took a chance on him when no one else would.

All and good, but money talks. I know we upped the man's pay, but up it some more, give the guy what he wants facility-wise....and double or triple Frank Andersons salary...please! Once in a lifetime hire. Please don't screw it up.

I don’t think we have to worry about lack of financial backing with our current leadership of Boyd, Plowman, and White in charge. There is already a substantial amount of money ($56 million) slotted for LNS renovation in the upcoming budget. I don’t think we need to be concerned about coaches salaries either. Coach A isn’t interested in being a head coach again and loves it here. Coach V is already one of the highest paid college baseball head coaches in the country and may get a another bump in pay in the off-season.

I never see much on Coach Anderson. You said he loves it here. Anybody know anything about his life beyond baseball in Knoxville? I sure hope this is a place he wants to stay for a long time.
