Ok I read where Ole Miss has had at leat 5 secondary violations- Noone brings that up.

LSU- A report that a player was paid to come to LSU- Noone running with that story.

FL- Read somewhere where Meyer was involved with some questionable recruiting practices... No Mention anywhere.

UT-6 secondary violations- Some NCAA reviews and every blog, sports agency is running tickers on the fall of TN.

I say lets get our own fans with connections to come find out some great stories on other schools and start turning them in.

everyone hated miami in the 80's. if we have to take that much hate to win that many games, i'm all for it.

i just watched "the u" on espn last night and saw some major similarities between the start of their dominant run and our current situation.

yeah. the similarities are definately there.

1.) their coach didn't care what outsiders, or for that matter insiders, thaught of him. much like what we see out of kiffin.

2.) they had a rapper, we have a rapper.

3.) recruits loved the hate then and now.

4.) much like miami, we are facing the us against the world treatment.

5.) the ncaa came up with rules to stop what miami did on the field. the sec has implemented rules to stop what we do off the field.

6.) now, if we can just get a couple of those rings, the similarities will pay off big time.

it also wouldn't hurt us for miami and fsu to regain some of their swagger and make it a little harder on the gators to own florida. make the gators work for the florida boys and we would own georgia again. tennessee and fsu for the national championship would be a lovely reminder of the good old days!

"Keep your eye on the donut and not the hole".
.....a famous quote by Coach John Majors to inspire his team to stay focused.

And a quote that his successor mis-understood, but none the less lived by daily.

My point exacly, UF has it so easy because UM and UFS has been scared to make any waves to show the swagger...Players are going to find out that CUM isnt that good of coach. All of his coaches has followed him from ND where they learned under Coach Lou Holtz, they are alllll gone now. If you dont beleive me ask CLK, Bama has the coaches UF has the players...for now.

If Ohio State survived that thing with Clarret and about 6 other players coming out and saying they were paid, I find it hard to believe anything will get traced to our staff.

While I hate this kind of BAD publicity(which I'm a firm believer of any publicity is good publicity but I'm not so sure about this, false or not), I have to say....I LOVE being hated again....Means we are doing something right

Haters gonna hate. The only outside opinions that really matter are the recruits' and they see the hatred as signs that our program is becoming feared. When's the last time a 7-5 coach was booed at a championship game for making picks? When's the last time a 7-5 team has drawn so much hate from undefeated ones?

It's a good sign, and a compliment. They see what's about to become of Tennessee's program and they're throwing everything to the wall and praying for something to stick while they still can. In a few years this kind of mud-slinging will be all they can do because they won't beat us on the field.

My husband and I watched the "U" also last nite and I said the exact same thing about the similarities to UT and what is going on now. I loved how they continued to talk about "swagger." I also had no idea how much the Miami players loved Jimmy Johnson. Gee, sounds so familiar.
