The fan revolt at the prospect of having Schiano forced upon us, and the power wielded by the Volunteer "everyman", was one of the greatest Vol moments of all time, and rivaled our biggest victories on the field. I will forever cherish that day. And, I damn sure wouldn't take it back.

The interim for a year path is risky. if Steele snuck in a 7-5 regular season, and beats some limp team in a lower tier bowl, finishing 8-5, we will get stuck with him as the new full time head coach. Ugh.
