Yes. Expecting to hear something concrete within the next 4 years.

Agree. We’ve got the development culture in place. Get the guys that live on the road and know how to text high schoolers. It sounds creepy when I type that out...

Pretty sure at Maryland he coached in a 3-4 scheme that switched to 4-3 in 2019, and the opposite at Colorado. Makes sense to see difference in DL production aside from the coaching.

Apparently he’s got deep ties in Florida HS and Mississippi JUCO. I’ll take some DL from those places.

3 of Akron’s top 4 recruits were pass rushers. Felton is young and hungry. We had similar questions about Nieds a couple years ago, and Pruitt has talked about needing recruiters. I’ll trust him here.

It was quick. Seems like the guy Pruitt wanted. Tucker at CU apparently wanted him too and he knows his DL guys well.

Hmm. Like the way a couple edge guys developed, Bennett mostly. Still feels like most of the pressure came from some creativity with the DB’s though. Need some big time edge rusher recruits too.

He also had that spin move on the comeback routes down. Fun to watch.

    2020 Class Composite (No-ESPN)

This is true. But ESPN recruiting also is objectively a steaming pile of garbage.

    2020 Class Composite (No-ESPN)

Glad you enjoyed it man. I absolutely love this stuff. The posters that responded were pretty much in line with my line of thinking, but I'll add one more point too. I think the biggest difference between ESPN and the other sites is the updates. 247/Rivals continue to evaluate during the year...

    2020 Class Composite (No-ESPN)

    Also, here are the top classes in average recruit for us for the past 15 years, Pruitt's in bold. 1. 2020 // 90.84 2. 2009 // 90.66 3. 2019 // 90.46 4. 2007 // 89.67 5. 2014 // 89.5 This year's 90.84 would be the highest since 2005 (91.33, and 4th ranked in the country), and the 2nd highest I...

    2020 Class Composite (No-ESPN)

Hey everybody, time for another data-based recap... Taking a deep dive into this class in the 247 composite is driving me nuts with the ESPN rankings being so terrible. I couldn't stand seeing Bailey as the 15 Pro-Style QB, Wideman/Hyatt as the #39/#50 WRs, Calloway as the #40 ATH, etc., so I...

I actually feel the opposite. Seems like the Lane hype is overblown right now, and even if we pick him up it’s not even close to over imo.

Doesn’t it have to be an average of 25 over a two year period?

Agree on offense. Bailey will be the starter by the end of the year, and at least a few of the receivers will see major time. Defensively, I’ll go Lawrence/Eason. Would be surprised if Lawrence didn’t lock down a starting spot in the secondary, and Eason really helps the rotation at ILB.

Serious question, do they actually ever re-evaluate prospects? It seems like they watch a sophomore HUDL video, rank the player, then leave it for good.
