Is it because a certain qb is going to be dismissed from the team, or our qbs are just that bad?

As soon as the student conduct case is resolved, Salter should be back. But he needs to mature, and now he's lost the spring. He has some things to work on and will have to develop decision-making and leadership skills.

Reading this and going back over the linebacker depth chart makes me think 9 wins is probably our floor, with an SEC title and playoff appearance our most likely outcome!

Bailey and Hooker aren't great fits for this offense. Maurer is a fair fit, but we all know his limitations. Salter gave up any chance of being a Day 1 starter with his off-field decisions.

Legit question, and I know it wouldn’t happen, but would someone like Tate Martell be a good fit, for this offense?

IDT the QB thing is a bad sign. You can actually view it in a more positive light. They want to win now while continuing to build and think a seasoned QB can help do that. It doesn't mean they can't bring guys along-- it may just take more time to get some guys to their potential. CJH has a clear idea of what he's looking for and what it's going to take to get the offense rolling. The quickest way to do that is the quickest way to win.

Why? Just ride with the young guys we have and take the lumps like Pruitt should have done. There isn’t any QB worth a damn in the portal. Only one worth taking is maybe N'Kosi Perry.

Let's see what the transfer portal looks like comes mid-May after Spring ball is done around the country and see what shakes out. I'd imagine there will be some decent options appear in the portal.

By transfer qb, are you talking about a grad transfer or just any qb

Unfortunate that we took Hooker's commitment if he was never going to be that guy. It was weird that he came here, it was weird that the old staff even took his commitment, and it's unfortunate if the staff doesn't see him as a realistic option to win even 6 games this season.

Regardless, can't miss again if that's the route they choose to take. 5 scholarship QBs and none of them starting caliber is turrible.
