Three-star defensive end Nick Figueroa of Riverside (Calif.) City College has remained quiet over the past 36 hours since talking with GoVols247 on Sunday following his official visit to Knoxville. He admitted after the trip that he “thought I did” have his mind made up going into the visit, but he came away torn after his visit to Tennessee. USC was widely viewed as the favorite to land him going into the weekend, and the distance from home still might complicate things for the Vols.

But it appears Tennessee at least has given him plenty to think about, so while the Trojans remain the safe bet to land the San Bernardino, Calif., native, it’s still too early to rule out the Vols pulling off the upset. According to 247Sports’ Brandon Huffman, Figueroa is scheduled to sign at 2 p.m. Eastern time during a ceremony at Riverside City College.
