There’s a lot that goes into the draft. New blood is fun and exciting. Saying Bargo is an unproductive player is just flat out incorrect. He was one of the most productive players on a super regional team and has been productive over the course of 3 different SEC seasons and a summer in the...
Overall it was a very successful few days. We didn’t bat 100% but it went about as well as you reasonably could’ve expected. Every negative surprise was met with an even more positive surprise
lol don’t act like I don’t watch the games. Yes they both had slumps at the end. Bargo was one of our best hitters in SEC play. I get they aren’t flashy players and in a lot of ways I’m ready for some new blood too but calling them unproductive is flat out incorrect. Thought anyone that knew...
Not Moore - he just always planned on going pro and was pretty vocal about it. Perhaps too vocal to the point it killed all his leverage. Number got so low that it made sense for him to just go ahead and come to school, but I don’t think that was the plan
Grimmer Bargo or even Ford or Wright. Their plan heading into fall camp isn’t always how it ends up shaking out. In fact it almost definitely will change over the course of fall ball.
Newstrom is very valuable because he can legitimately play any position and that’s going to allow them to get...
They’re gonna be stacked every year just like we are gonna be stacked every year. Easily two best programs along with Texas right now
I’ll take our roster over anyone’s for next year
Extremely. It was so well known that he fully intended to sign on with a pro team that I think he actually nuked all of his leverage to the point where it made way more sense to go to school.
But again it adds to the numbers crunch because they were definitely not banking on having him on the team
They did not. Portal recruiting etc were all done assuming Peebles Bargo and Chapman were moving on. We will see how they approach now with Bargo and Chapman. They’re gonna meet with them to discuss and I’d assume we have an idea in the next day or two
Yes - I don’t think Tony will ever leave for another college unless drastic changes in UT AD.
Trying his hand at pro ball will be how he goes if he leaves. I do think he loves the college game though
