Gainey and Knecht’s ability to cut and hit will keep the defense moving too. Vescovi is about to get a lot more open looks this year. I feel like he was crowded every time he had the ball last year.
The call on this game was fantastic. The announcers just enjoyed being fans of the the game watching two good teams.
I loved the live cut in with the coaches too.
Like Coach Garner said in his recent interview: he wants to train his players to be good men, but at the end of the day these guys also know they are in the entertainment business.
It’s too bad that business often dehumanizes the entertainers and the entertained can’t look beyond their own...
From the reports that seems most likely. There is a ton of involvement in local business, media, etc., by former OU players. I think they showed him a path beyond football alone and it all was close to home for him.
This was probably more than just a football decision.
They’ve set the tone and low bar for much of the other local media.
My contempt has travelled with me since I was a kid with nothing to read but the KNS sports section.
Maybe I should just let it go…
Nah, they are the original Butch-level-bad.
Yeah, some are better than others, but none are great.
Hooker gets some great interviews, but he and that other guy suck on their own.
VQ would be better without the constant golf analogies and that sports commentator tick of asking and answering your own questions (Does that annoy me...
Exactly. This is why I think the Milton drama is a little overblown. He made a couple of major mistakes this weekend, but the blatant missed calls and drops are really affecting the overall perception of his play.
My fingers are still crossed.
I’m really glad you posted this.
I just rewatched this again and feel a little better about Joe than I did Saturday. Both he and the receivers need to get better, but it’s a shorter path than I originally thought. Joe had a few terrible plays, but a few others were tough luck and/or bad no...
The receivers aren’t playing up to expectations either. I have high hopes for Nimrod going forward, and will be curious to see if someone else steps up next to Squirrel.
