Have you guys seen the videos of the Sooner Schooner flip over during a game? It has happened more than once! I kind of laughed at the frat boys with paddles and in overalls on the sidelines. Gave me some Dazed and Confused vibes or Revenge of the Nerds!
I drove up from North Dallas area (Mckinney) and drove back after the game which I regretted; great game atmosphere and everyone was super nice.
They "candy striped" the stadium red and white which I really think is where we got the idea to "checker" Neyland. I had visitor seats way up around...
All true; it is a little weird but I respect their traditions. I do make fun of all of my aggie friends mocking it every chance I get. "whoop" LOL!
Honestly though how many of our fans that aren't/weren't students know all of our cheers/songs? I cringe every time I hear the crowd singing...
Unless I am mistaken; the black stripes I have seen on the helmets in practice are a part of the protective padding that they wear to help with concussions. Can anyone else confirm?
About what Butch used them for; I kind of liked them "earning" their Orange stripe as well as "earning" the...
I was watching the SEC Network last night; I have admittedly been avoiding it but they were doing the camp updates. When they got to the good guys; first thing we see is that the boys had to go back to their practice stations and run to the end of practice meeting with Coach Heupel. I don't know...
The sticker on the podcast says this is Kyler Kerbyson who was an offensive lineman for the VOLs during the Dooley and Butch years. He is probably a little bias and rightfully so but nice to have a VFL share his thoughts anyway. Thanks for posting!
Thank the good lord almighty that we did not hire him as our OC! What a media circus it would have been had he agreed to be our OC and then leave us before coaching an offensive snap for the NFL! Makes me wonder if Phil and Pruitt knew this was a possibility?
I was at that A&M game too; loved watching the Corps standing there while we all sang Rocky Top after the game! Got to shake Coach Fulmer's hand and even got a wrist band from Jason Allen. Needless to say; one of my favorite games I've attended.
Agreed wholeheartedly; this is not acceptable to us and most likely isn't for the Coaches and Admin. I do have a question though; I have always wondered why we recognize six National Titles but everyone else; including the folks that make banners you can buy; recognize only two?
