I keep seeing this assumption that Sanders is being handed the job if he starts and that it’s over better players.
That won’t be the case, because he will be ready to start at RT and will do so. He is the RT next season, Bennett or Perry are the swing tackle and both still get reps next...
I don't know, it depends on how next season goes. Its certainly not clean and clear. If he doesn't get a great response in his draft grade, he could make a ton of money coming back
We haven't had any freshman 5* OTs to lose. How many freshman 5* OTs have we gave a bag to and got in the portal?
He is going to be ready, helped by getting here this month.
It is 2024 and we are in the semi-pro era, you don't waste the effort and money it takes to recruit a 5* OT if you don't think they can play as a freshman. He will be the RT starter next season or he will be playing LT somewhere else...
Sanders will start at RT next year, if he isn't the starter game 1, then he will be before long
How do you think we got Lance Heard? He was a 5* freshman that played some, but didn't start. So we offered him a bag to come be our starting LT
What do you think a Tackle desperate team with money...
1. illegal
2. What does that even mean? if they aren't a union that can collectively bargain, then there is no hole to close. one sided bargaining happens when one side has the power and law behind them, which is the athletes.
3. Just say no, then you have a bad football team. Such an illegal...
What part of "that would be illegal" did you not understand?
For our economy to continue to thrive, we will have to cap the pay in your industry at $2 above current minimum wage for the next 25 years. See how that is illegal? Because you are suggesting it would be "smart" to do the same and...
That would be illegal
That is like saying your boss at the saw mill can tell you that your income from the local car dealer commercials you perform in is capped. That is an NIL agreement between you and the car dealer, a 3rd party cannot interfere in that agreement
Maze at OU I'll give you, but didn't Goins play at Ball State?
Its a bit of a step up from Ball State/Juco to big boy basketball where you are asked to guard guys like Downey, Wall, Fortson, etc.
We all saw the improvement of Maze from his first year to his second.
Why is it crazy to assume Melgo can't improve as well? He is already a MUCH better defender than Maze ever was and finished this past season playing much better basketball than Maze did his 1st year here.
He had the same...
To even try to compare the OLs those guys started behind in comparison to the 2010 OL is idiotic. Let's not forget that neither Ainge or Schaeffer made it through their true frosh season, both got injured and we were starting Rick in the SECCG.
I imagine Maymon will back-up Harris when he is eligible in late December. The staff is really high on him, he's been with the team since January, so he'll have had a full year in the program before he steps on the court.
We'll just need to survive with Pearl/Woolridge/whoever through the...
