Weird weird take.
Was he supposed to shake things up coming off one of, if not the most successful year of college sports for Tennessee since the late 1990s?
Maybe clean out Barnes after the elite 8? Fire Heupel off the playoff appearance? Can Tony V after the World Series?
This sucked and is one of the worst losses of the Barnes era. The opponent, the blown lead. Just horrible in every aspect. We are a roster of what appears to be good pieces but they don't work together. This is a likely 7-10 seed, first round exit type team but one that has the ability to either...
Yes, they are. They give their physical and mental effort for something that generates massive revenue. It's lunacy to expect them to do it for free and it always was.
It's a ton of work, they get up at 4am and workout every day, they put a ton of time into it, and physical labor, with a unique and valuable skill set. You don't have to do whatever 9-5 you have or had, but it's still work.
I'm always mystified that grown men get spun out over people making money for work they are doing. Tennessee will field a football team next year, and many on it will be in their first, second, third, etc year. I'll cheer for them equally.
I love Tennessee sports, period. I don't care why...
Pope has a 25 million dollar buyout too, and they're already pinching pennies from firing Stoops, they know all hope is lost and they are stuck until 2028.

Pavia is entering the draft and suing to retain his eligibility after the draft is over to see if he wants...
Joey and Pavia will be decided at the same time. I believe they will likely win. The NCAA and Juco are not associated with one another. Everyone else gets 5 years to play 4 years of NCAA football regardless of whether they went to prep school after high school, just to high school, or played pro...

He's currently 98th in the nation and 13th in the SEC in make percentage. He's not good in any way, shape or form by current standards.
Per Austin Price, he had been planning on entering the portal since the UGA game.
