That doesn't make sense, ESPN is tied to the SEC financially. Also, if bama was in our situation, you think it would have been the same result? They could have easily put OSU in front of UGA as well.

It's all about recency bias. Nearly all of the rankings are based off what's happened the last few weeks. If Ole Miss had beat uga back when we beat bama and we had beat bama just a couple of weeks ago, then we would be higher because we would be perceived as "hotter".

Expecting this team to all the sudden play clean football in Athens at night is a stretch.

This week is straightforward, everyone in the top 12 or so. Lot of cupcake games this week though, so realistically Arkansas beating Texas and Kansas beating BYU would be huge. Florida beating LSU would knock them out of the SEC and playoff race and boost our FL win.

It's going to take stringing together some playoff runs for UT to gain real national respect again. We were irrelevant for just too long and we've lost that national brand recognition. Watch pretty much any national college football show and UT is barely mentioned. Same goes for playoff rankings...
