Can't deny that. UK is a lot different team this year though. Won as many SEC games this year (4) as the past four years combined. Coming into the season I thought there were three games UK had no shot in: Alabama, Tennessee and Louisville. Alabama is self explanatory and Tennessee and...
Kentucky is doing all of this with its back up QB. I know we haven't beaten the best teams in the world, but UK is finally winning the swing games that will for the most part always determine our seasons. First time winning 4 games in the SEC since 2006. I personally think UK should beat Vandy...
Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday. My apologies if this has already been posted but I didn't see it while scanning through posts. ESPN has Tennessee at #3 in its way-too-early power rankings. I think that's right where the Vols should be coming into this season. Tennessee should only have...
As far as the UT-UK game, that's the only game I'm not confident in UK winning at all. I think it might be close but I don't see UK winning against Tennessee. I do think UK can finish 8-4 though.
That isn't true at all. You've not watched UK enough if you think that. Jeff Badet is as fast as anyone in the SEC. Garrett Johnson and Dorian Baker would start at almost any school in the conference. I've watched every SEC team and firmly believe this, and not just because I'm a UK fan.
Mosier is starting because Swindle is hurt. Not because of performance. West has battled injuries for a long time so I would be OK with not counting him as a senior starter. Swindle has started a lot of football games for UK though.
Jordan Swindle is a starter. Zach West is sometimes, so that's at least two starters. Towles and the offensive line have to continue to get better. The offense could be really, really good next year if they do.
Melvin Lewis, C.J. Johnson, Ryan Flannigan, Cody Quinn, Josh Forrest, Farrington...
Had 100+ yards against Louisville and two touchdowns. UL had a bunch of guys off that defense get drafted last year. Also had 100 yards against Georgia. He's really good. Just keep watching.
Yeah. Maybe the best team in the country by the time March rolls around.
Starting five will probably be Tyler Ulis, Jamal Murray, Isaiah Briscoe, Alex Poythress/Marcus Lee and Skal Labissiere. Three or four bench guys that should contribute.
I'd take UK's offensive line over UT's all day. Boom Williams is as good as anyone in the conference. As is Garrett Johnson and Dorian Baker. UT is plenty talented but lets not act like UK has nothing.
That's not true at all. Steve Kragthorpe coached three seasons after Petrino left. Strong built Louisville basically from the ground up. He brought in a ton of guys with serious talent such as Bridgewater and Devante Parker. They don't have a quarterback right now. Hopefully they don't figure it...
Littlecat, Towles was 21-29 tonight and probably threw the best ball of his career to Badet. The second half was a struggle again but I'm not going to blame Towles for it.
Fact is, there's no way Drew Barker is a better option than Towles. Big win for UK last night.
