This has been the worst allergy season for me that I can remember.

I watched some other games last weekend that the environment was electric. Dudy Noble was off the charts.

Before last weekend, it had been a year and one week since we won a home SEC series. The hornets nest has been removed. I don't know what the environment was like in person but on tv it appeared lethargic.

Most committees value weekend series more than midweek games. Two SEC series wins hold a lot of weight. #6 MSU series adds value. Road series win at SC adds value. Winning 2 out of 3 at Arlington adds value. Those midweek losses don't mean much.

I think we're seeing this play out throughout college sports. ....But in baseball, I think it's especially true. The "sophomore slump" is very real.
