How does UT define success 2014-2015?

Success this year for Tennessee would be to compete and not hear stories of thrown games. Kicker able to make extra points. Team to show up and even if they lose show pride and fight until its over. Tennessee has failed to do that over the last few seasons. Last year it was good to see emotion...

    stats against wku

Hey, they did win ....yet another Nega vol has to be upset with something. Peyton Manning left Tennessee many years ago not everyone can be a Manning....Give the coaching team a chance and see what happens. Timing will be off with new WR and coaching schemes.

So does the Vols gotta win 7 games?

IMO if Jones wins 2 SEC games he will already tie the SEC wins Dooley had in 2 years. That would show improvement.... Dooley only had what 5 SEC wins in 3 years...out of those 5, 3 wins came in year 1.

    The Official "Going Pro" Thread

I would guess most players are not saying anything until the new coaching hire. I hope they all stay so the new coach has a chance to do a quick turn around for the Vols.

Would you be happy with Charlie Strong?

I apologize I was refering to his record as a Head Coach. He did coach the Florida Gators in a bowl game prior to being hired at Louisville.

Would you be happy with Charlie Strong?

His biggest downfall is 0-1 in SEC play After that he is 24-14, with 3 years of going to bowl games and in his third year turning his team into a 10-2 team. Better than Dooley ended up. I think he will do better than Dooley but I would prefer that the Vols dont jump the gun and hire the first...

    Run Game Misconception

SEC defense is so strong and fast you have to have a power game to run in the SEC. Look at Oregon stats against LSU last ear they did not get 100 yards rushing. Look at how LSU and Bama running games beats and wears down a defense till they score and pull away by the 4th quarter.
