Heard the same story, so I asked OR's play by play guy about the situation. Middleton is expected to play against Farragut, as of Tuesday evening, so unless something else happened yesterday or today, he should be good to go for their season opener.

Yup, Devon certainly wasn't blessed with the same physical attributes as Darel. Shame that Darel doesn't have the same drive or work ethic.

Catholic is D1, but with the connections between UT and Catholic (and Middleton being a UT verbal), I wonder if they will attempt to bring him in and get him eligible. Ultimately, if he does decide to go elsewhere, his TSSAA eligibility will be another story...

Yup, he was booted either Monday or Tuesday. He basically had a one strike policy with the current coaching staff, given the issues from earlier.

Absolutely. The offensive playcalling has been very questionable at Powell this year, and I think having a new OC had something to do with that. Here's hoping that going back to their tried and true OC tandem will help.

Powell's new offensive coordinator was let go this week. They will revert back to the same OC tandem that they used last season. That may help Darel offensively.
