Butch @ FHU Tonight– Roll Call

When I graduated from there in 2010 I said it would take a lot to get me back on campus. Butch will get me back there tonight and then Peyton will again in December. I went to all of the sports banquets during my college days. Bruce Pearl and Ozzie Smith were by far my favorites.

Neal leads Vols in Saturday's scrimmage

Offense, especially the passing game is always rusty this time of year. It takes so many reps to get everything in sync it is hard to be crisp in that area with so few practices so that doesn't worry me. I do like what Neal did today. Ever since we signed this kid I have said he will be...

    4-2-5

It doesn't matter what defense you run imo. What matters is how well the coaching staff aligns the defense to take away the offenses strengths and capitalize on their weaknesses . It is up to our coaches to put our kids in positions to make plays based on film study and breaking down the...

    4-2-5

I doubt the 4-2-5 will be our base D. The good thing about this defense is that you can move people around and line up in so many different alignments. In other words it is very easy to disguise blitz and coverage packages. Another positive to the scheme is that it is easily adaptable to any...

    2002 recruiting class

While that class didn't result in the ultimate goal of a national championship, to say that none of them stood out as game changers might be a little steep. I see several names on that list that might not have been All-Americans but were very good football players while at UT and are now in the NFL.
