The changing face of the SEC

I think the problem with this parity in the SEC is that it is MUCH more difficult for a team to go undefeated in the SEC, than, say, the PAC-10 or Big East. The sad fact is, the SEC will only get a team in the BCS championship once every four or five years, while the Pac-10 and Big 12 will get...

    Lessons Learned

I doubt Ainge's stats would've been that bad. He's not the brightest bulb in the pack, but more practice reps couldn't have hurt.

So YOU want to be the VOLS coache, eh?

Okay, for all of you wannabe coaches out there, I'm planning on starting my own *virtual* 2005 season, implementing the offense and defense as I wish. However, I want some input on some aspects of coaching. 1. What should the depth chart look like on offense (skill positions only; QB...

    ESPN dishes on Fulmer

"Coach Who Should Take The Bus To Work: Tennessee's Phil Fulmer (38). Not only did the Volunteers' fourth straight loss, at Notre Dame, let down an entire state, it let down an entire conference. SEC loyalists were stubbornly insisting that the league's low scores were less a...

    ND

I'm holding my breath. I'm afraid we're going to make ND's defense look great. :banghead:

    Keys to beating the Irish

Vols key to victory --> trip Brady Quinn down a set of steps at the stadium, where he rolls over coach Weiss and most of the skill players on offense & defense. :clapping:

    Dont fire Fulmer

I wouldn't call it "impatience." I think the biggest problem is definitely the assistant coaches associated with the offense (See RS). However, PF's inability to either (1) locate the problem or (2) take care of the problem is what's most distressing. As consistently as we've...

    Notre Dame Game

You can analyze Offense and Defense all you want. When these two teams play, it comes down to intangibles like leadership. I'm very optomisitic that UT has a chance, but don't be surprised if this game ends up like the UF-Bama game. ND could put up a lot of points early, then coast...

    The real problem...........

It's becoming blatantly obvious who the best coaching staffs in the SEC really are. Scheme wise, Spurrier and Richt are two of the best. Kines and Chavis are the premier DCs. Richt (when he has a healthy QB) is a really good Offensive minded coach. The only category I'll put CPF...

Is this a "bad year" ?

I'm just frustrated because the difference in coaching talent was almost palpable last night. Spurrier could definitely have coached either team last night and he would've beat the opposition.

I can't believe we are under .500. What is the deal ??? :banghead:

What is our record at the end of the season

I remember way back -- when games against SC & Vandy were almost taken for granted. :ermm:

What is our record at the end of the season

What happened ?!? Was it really just last month that we thought we would go 12-1 ?!?

    guys

Back to what exactly? Underachieving? Congratulations, you've now signed onto UT football under Phil Fulmer.

    guys

Look, I'm not saying that TN will for sure lose to vandy by using the common opponents logic. I AM saying that if SC can beat us in Neyland Stadium, then you shouldn't say Vandy is a guaranteed win. How's that logic?
