word is Uchebo's going to need some "creative" help to qualify academically. Don't think Cuonzo would even consider putting UT in that kind of position, especially so soon after Pearl's trouble.
UK's current staff have a history of getting guys on campus with no hope of qualifying other than...
i agree. half the game we weren't even competing on the boards and were careless with the ball then of course an ugly night at the line. we'll get soundly beaten if we face Wisc on Saturday with that kind of effort.
Other than maybe the Kentucky game, for the most part H-back was basically where Burton got on the field last year. Reed was primarily a tight end all offseason but missed most of the first few games of the season when we were running the offense we practiced all year before panicking and going...
Kentucky's been dribble driving all year and Florida does their fair share of driving into the lane. The teams offensive styles did not change.
That's why I compared it to the first two matchups and made note that Kentucky shot more attempts in the tournament final then they did in both regular...
that's why i said earlier it's one thing if they change styles as long as they are consistent with both teams. in the SEC quarterfinals the refs changed the way they called the game at halftime from a physical let them play brand to a tightly officiated contest. however other than a couple...
we drove it at them in the first half, drew contact and got ZERO calls. our only freethrow attempt of the first half, compared to Kentucky's 14, came on an over the back all things. we weren't settling for jumpshots either as UK and UF were even at the half in jumpshots.
at some point when...
the 2004-05 season offers a great parallel. Florida split the regular season series against Kentucky. Kentucky won the regular season championship. both teams met in the SEC Tournament Final where Florida defeated Kentucky 70-53 (that's 1 point more than UK got us yesterday with the help of...
yeah. you'd want Knight, not Jenkins. you've already got a dynamic SG and outside of scoring Jenkins is pretty much a black hole. take someone like Knight who can score with the best of them, take you off the dribble, defend and dish.
the refs definitely had an impact on the game. in the first half they let A LOT of hacking slide. those are generally the kind of games where Florida struggles. in the second half they decided to call a tight game which is generally the kind of game that Florida is toughest to beat.
If Brian Williams was still injured I'd feel more confident in UF getting the win over a rival three times in a row though maybe he's lost a little bit of his conditioning while sitting out. I still feel good as it's not likely Parsons will suffer another bad contusion causing internal bleeding...
i agree with the sentiment that Knight was the best overall player in the league. had his team not struggled on the road so much and he not been so turnover prone it would have been much more apparent.
Jenkins has just one more conference win than Hopson and just as many losses to Parsons' team. if POY was just for being the conference's leading scorer that'd be one thing to give to Jenkins but really that's all he does for his team. he's not a very good defender. he doesn't hit the boards...
