As I said elsewhere last night, I can envision a scenario where USF is really good next year and he's the hot name to replace Sling Blade when he mercifully gets canned. Watching them vs Syracuse kinda had me salivating at the idea of Lagway in that offense. Apparently he's a decent recruiter too.

That's literally what happened. We stuffed the run and got pressure on Milton all night vs advantageous UT numbers up front. James pointed out how uniformly correct the majority of the game we were in eye discipline and gap integrity, but I'm guessing that's still pretty concerning.

Yeah I've been watching James since 2021, super knowledgeable about schemes and such. He believes Austin Armstrong is an elite defense coordinator and he HATES Billy's passing offense. (Although he thinks his run schemes are some of the best) I invest 3 hours or so of my day once every week...

I think people got sold a bill of goods about Billy and this years team by a bunch of sports media types, but I always figured we'd be better than that. Not saying we don't drop a clunker here at some point, totally possible, but the defense under AA has played great since after the first play...

It kind of is, in a sense. UTSA is 1-2, but they're a well coached team with a very respected head coach. They were a borderline top 25 team, and trendy pick to get the non AQ New Year's Six Bowl bid. Problem is, most casuals don't know that, and if they see Tennessee struggle with a 1-2 "UTSA"...

If that's true, it's a shame. I've never seen it get any worse than just really rowdy and enthusiastic. I've never been to an SEC stadium that I felt like warranted a diatribe, and I've been to Tiger Stadium were they allegedly throw piss balloons at people.

Tempo really gave us problems. Our guys were still bouncing around trying to get the signals out instead of being set while y'all were getting ready to snap. That's what I've assumed was a key tenet of Heupel's deal, go fast, wide splits, option routes, and rpo, and the "go fast" being the key.
