It would be something if the Vols wore alternate uniforms. OU might do the same for this game, in addition to striping the stadium. The alternate home uniforms for OU have white helmets with a crimson stripe down the middle. They're throwback uni's from the 1950's Bud Wilkinson era.

Did Tennessee play their backups in the second half? I really don't know. Stats on a computer don't tell the story of a game. In the second half of the OU game, I saw and heard so many last names I hadn't been aware of since the spring game, it was hard finding a player I recognized.

I don't think a 4-4 record against the SEC would warrant a description of being "beaten like a drum" with two of the losses coming in National Championship games with a combined margin of victory of 17 points by the SEC teams.
