All it takes for a queue to form is the person at the front experience a network lag during his transaction. Every single other transaction could be instant/rapid and the bottleneck effect could end up being worse than cash only.

I was at the game and was furious because the ball was 25 yards from the hash mark and they had already blown the whistle to indicate ready to play. That is an improper timing signal and should be protested.
