I'll believe we expect to win titles in football when its January and Willie Martinez no longer works for UT.

Are they investing a lot? They might be investing more than they used to. But recruiting isn't better than it used to be, we seem to always be second best in the portal, and it feels like nothing is about to be done with the weak link on the coaching staff.

I don't think that holds true anymore with the state of modern college football. Not saying you should fire a coach every 2-3 years but recruiting classes aren't going to stay together for 4 years.

We don't have the momentum that UGA, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio St, Michigan, and Oregon have. Those teams will continue to have an upper hand in recruiting and portal activity just based on what they've done on the field. Below that is a congealed mass of of rapid dynamism. Everybody in the conference is allocating resources at a win now level. Throwing money around only works in tandem with good decision making.

And if anything, UT beating UK on the road shouldn't have happened. We had come off a stone fight game and a crushing rivalry loss, they had a bye to get ready, and they had home field advantage. We shut down their top player and ran right through them, taking every body blow along the way.

It is, Faurot Field isn't the Swamp or even Willy Brice or Sanford. It's not intimidating, if anything it lulls teams to sleep. Plus with Cooper back, we'll be a lot better.

I sincerely hope thats how they play it. If I were them I'd play Quarters and change up the looks underneath. If they play man, it'd be two deep man.
