    Smart WR's

I get dumbing down certain things, especially with freshmen. However, we had two starters at WR that have been in the system for 3 years. One of those being Squirrel who was getting starting time as a freshman. Another 2 that have been practicing in the system for at least 2 years. WR's in 21 &...

    Smart WR's

So Josh used pre snap motion, stacked WR, etc. in 2022 but over the last 2 years we've lost all creativity bc our WR's cant process fast enough. Not buying it. If that is the case then WR coach needs to go because it's his job to teach these guys. We had the worst separation rate for routes...

We Need A QB From The Portal

Nico is a freshman and the game is moving 100mph still. The lack in pass protection only makes it that much faster for Nico. Also we have to get back to some pre snap motion and more creativity with our routes. It doesn’t seem like anything is set up anymore. 2 years ago you would see certain...

    Time to upgrade

I’m said guy on internet, however, I don’t live in mom’s basement fortunately. I’m no SEC coach and will never claim to be one… but it doesn’t take one to watch last nights game and say whatever gameplan we had on each side of the ball last night was complete trash. Schematically we looked...

    Time to upgrade

I agree with that. Unless you have the HR hire you know can take you to next level you’re gonna be hard pressed to let a coach go that is getting at least 9 wins a year. Question is will Heupel be able to maintain that moving forward. Just have to be hopeful these deficiencies get addressed...

    Time to upgrade

Heupel 100% inherited a mess.. but his best offensive year was with the offensive players that mess left him. Schematically, talent wise, route tree, creativity, etc... Offense has looked dramatically different last 2 seasons.

    About Nico

Dude Nico is not JG. Our route tree and scheme has not adjusted a bit for 2 years while teams with talent like OSU watch and prep for what we do. It's not complex... multiple opposing coaches have said as much. Our offense is purely based on getting guys in space then making a play. Running a...

    Time to upgrade

Nico definitely needs help but schematically whether its the route tree or play call we have to switch something up with pass game. Defensively I wanna know what the heck the gameplan was. It looked like the gameplan was let OSU WR's get open then try to tackle after catch. Our defense made the...

    Time to upgrade

The sad part of this is Heupel's best offensive year... was with Pruitt's recruits. Hendon, Hyatt, Tillman, Jaylen, Darnell. Our passing game is light years from what it was 2 years ago. We slow our play down to get the "right" play call to watch half our receiving core run a damn hitch route...

Storm the field if we beat Vandy?

You don't storm the field for teams you should beat. Storming the field has already become completely out of control. It should be reserved for the absolute biggest of wins/upsets.

Tennessee home game if Texas wins SEC?

In all likelihood I don't think either team would drop below us, especially UGA. Only scenario I see where we would jump is if Texas was to get obliterated. At that point Texas would have then lost 2 games to the same team and honestly not have a "marquee" win to fall back on. I believe multiple...

I feel like Nico has shown improvement

Nico is clearly making progress. WR's and Oline have been very average this year and not helped him. Fans have to remember he is a RS Fresh in the SEC. I believed we're the only top ranked team in consideration for playoff spot with a QB this young. That's a good sign.

    Offense issues

One common theme under Heupel that has been concerningly noticeable during his tenure here has been the constant lack of focus and discipline when it comes to inexcusable self inflicted penalties. Regardless of points offense is or isn't putting up the constant false starts/holds are getting...

Does Kirby simply have Heupel figured out?

Kirby has the offense figured out in the sense that he makes sure our wr's don't get behind his defense. That and probably that 80% of our other passes are typical quick lateral passes to the boundary or hitches/outs. We very rarely consistently attack the middle of the field. I don't know if...

Chris Fallica says Nico will not play this weekend.

Your argument would be wrong then. If Heup had more confidence in Moore's ability to throw, Moore would be QB. Moore was bailed out with PI's on his deep shots. One in particular he had MK WIDE open on what would have been at the VERY LEAST 30 yards, instead he looks around and chunks it deep...
