    These announcers should know by now that a foul tip, by definition, is a pitched ball that tips off the bat and travels directly to the mitt or hand and is caught. If a pitched ball is tipped off the bat and touches the ground, backstop, etc., it is simply a foul ball and not a foul tip. Nit...
