Same song and dance with JJJ and SV. I know Dalton had a bad game, but JJJ and SV are the reasons I don’t have more confidence in a long run in the big tourney.
I’ll preface this with, I like coach Barnes and I’m glad he’s our coach, but tonight was not his best night. I feel he tries to “teach lessons” too often and the lineups tonight have been mind-boggling.
I understand optics don’t tell the entire picture, but I get so frustrated with JJJ and SV when they appear (on TV) to not be mentally in the game. It’s like they decide when they want to play hard and when they don’t.
So glad we came out with a win. UGA played with great deal of energy and their crowd was really into it. Shows a lot of maturity to win that one on the road.
The most frustrating part of the game for me is JJJ and SV performance. Being super seniors, they should be the most reliable players, especially on the road. They always seem to disappear, from an offensive standpoint, when they are needed the most.
I’m so torn right now. At least according to Volnation, you are a Barnes apologist or Anti-Barnes. I feel like I fall in between. On one hand it’s nice knowing the tournament is likely every year, but on the other hand, we know how it ends each year. While the players have to make plays, roster...
I don’t like calling out individual players, however, I will say, there’s only one senior that still has eligibility that I would want to return and that is SV. I don’t understand how our seniors are so inconsistent. They should be the steady hand for the underclass men, yet I feel they are the...
As frustrated as I was with Barnes last week, this was a really good coaching job. If JM can develop an offensive skill set he could make a lot of money. UP catches a lot of grief, and rightfully so at times, but I actually like his game. His bank shot from the block has become a nice little go...
Barnes shares some responsibility. Why would you not guard the inbound passer to make the pass more difficult. They had no timeouts left. Maybe you force them into a 5 second call or a bad pass out of desperation.
