Totally agree. Outside of Lloyd or May, this is the best coach they could have gotten, IMO. Malone is the kind of coach who demands respect and effort in the same way Saban did on the field. They're able to compete with anyone in NIL and he'll have the benefit of telling players he...
100% where I am. I've been on the Downs train the whole off-season but I can't be upset if they grab Love at this point. They can cover the big holes in FA and get the best players available in the draft.
Travis Henry as well:

Travis Henry
Mr. Henry, 47, a running back who made the Pro Bowl with the Buffalo Bills, was sentenced to three years in prison in 2009 for financing a cocaine trafficking ring. In an interview with The New York Times a few months before his sentencing, Mr. Henry...
Caleb Downs is the best player in the draft and is by far the guy I want in the 1st.
I'm not usually one who loves the Titans taking UT guys but I'd be really happy with either Hood (I'd be surprised if he fell out of the 1st) or Brazzell in the 2nd. Brazzell is being projected anywhere from...
Abeln better have the TEs playing amazing next season because if the guys at OU have better seasons, there's going to be a bunch of us calling for his head to bring Witten home.
John Brice is reporting that Austin Thomas is not staying on at LSU with Kiffin. There's been a lot of talk about if/when UT add an official GM role to the staff. If that's something they're going to actually do, this would be the time to do it and bring him back.
I've said this since he was in HS and I'll say it again. Nico is going to end up playing volleyball and will be much better there than on the football field. That's where his heart is and that's where he excels.
UCLA has a top men's volleyball program so I could easily see him staying there...
If Nico were out of the picture, a place like UCLA would be the perfect next step for Golesh. I don't know if he has any recruiting relationships on the West Coast but everything else is ideal. His/our brand of exciting offense would get the crowds who want to go watch fun football.
My overwhelming top choices:
UNC
UVA
------
Next obvious choice but I don't love as much as the top 2:
WVU
------
Next tier that I could be talked into any of these vs the others:
GT
Tulane - I do like the idea of bringing back these two former members but I'm not sure Tulane is up to the...
UNC and UVA make the most sense. They're the top schools in their state and they bring new states to the conference. NCSt and VT are probably better fits culturally but they don't bring near the prestige of the other two. Clemson and FSU/Miami bring nothing unique to the conference.
Have to think Sampson's fumbling issues are what caused him to fall. Hopefully he can get those cleaned up as he'll have a really nice career if he does and stays healthy.
Surprised there wasn't a thread about this already. Looks like we added some high quality "support" staff in Seth Littrell on the O side and Alan Willams on the D side. It certainly doesn't look like it was a good situation in Chicago when he stepped down but hopefully those issues are in the...
I think this is 100% spot on, especially because it's the Jets who he was interviewing with. They can't let the rival hire their favorite guy. It'd be like Eddie George going to coach the Colts. Mayo got screwed because of it but hopefully he has a really nice buyout.
