My overwhelming top choices:
UNC
UVA
------
Next obvious choice but I don't love as much as the top 2:
WVU
------
Next tier that I could be talked into any of these vs the others:
GT
Tulane - I do like the idea of bringing back these two former members but I'm not sure Tulane is up to the...
UNC and UVA make the most sense. They're the top schools in their state and they bring new states to the conference. NCSt and VT are probably better fits culturally but they don't bring near the prestige of the other two. Clemson and FSU/Miami bring nothing unique to the conference.
Have to think Sampson's fumbling issues are what caused him to fall. Hopefully he can get those cleaned up as he'll have a really nice career if he does and stays healthy.
Surprised there wasn't a thread about this already. Looks like we added some high quality "support" staff in Seth Littrell on the O side and Alan Willams on the D side. It certainly doesn't look like it was a good situation in Chicago when he stepped down but hopefully those issues are in the...
I think this is 100% spot on, especially because it's the Jets who he was interviewing with. They can't let the rival hire their favorite guy. It'd be like Eddie George going to coach the Colts. Mayo got screwed because of it but hopefully he has a really nice buyout.
I saw on Twitter/X/whatever that Trey Johnson has been promoted into the Director of Recruiting role after being the Defensive Scouting Coordinator that last 3 years. I must have missed where Angelia Brummett left earlier this month.
Does anyone know what happened there and why she left...
Coach K is gone and, with him, any relevance of dook basketball. There's zero reason to take them into the SEC. They're still riding K's coattails for a bit but it won't last long.
UNC and UVA are by far the best options for new programs and if those two are dumb enough to go to the B1G...
This 100%. I love Mike Keith but he isn't coming back. Neil Price has more than paid his dues and has done a great job at MTSU, UK and now MSU. He has been broadcasting games since he was in high school and would be the best choice.
I live in Nolensville and have been to several games this year and he was the guy on defense that always stood out to me. He has a knack for making plays in the backfield.
