    30 years ago today

The Blizzard of 1993 started. What I remember the most is Kentucky killing Tennessee 101 40. My worst experience as a Tennessee Basketball fan. I crack up reading these posts that are bashing Rick Barnes. Rick Barnes has made Tennessee relevant in NCAA Basketball. I don't worry about Rick Barnes...

‘23 GA LB Jeremiah Telander (Tennessee commit)

I was really impressed with Jeremiah Telander.

Feels great to have a great coach.

Josh Heupel is one of the best coaches in College Football. His staff is great also. Heupel is an offensive wizard like Steve Spurrier minus the smart mouth. Heupel knows how to relate to players. Him and his staff develop talent. My favorite thing about Heupel is he is a cool customer. Never...

The most heartbreaking Tennessee Football loss according to you?

That one is the worst. Tennessee was getting ready to kick field goal that would put them ahead 9-6 Bama blocks it and the ball goes about 30 yds the other way then Bama kicks field goal to win.

    Was impressed with Cooper Mays.

Maryville RB Tee Hodge commits to Tennessee

Tee missed the Heritage game and the Oakland playoff game. Tee won't put up 2000 yds and 50tds. Maryville doesn't let 1 player carry the whole load.

VFL Passes .. Mike Cofer ...

A legend gone too soon. A great player at UT and the Detroit Lions. He was a legend at Rule High School. First time I saw Mike Cofer was in the fall of 1978. Rule was playing at Maryville. I was playing for Maryville Junior High then. All Maryville Junior High Football players got into the...

    Drew Pember

As a Maryville Rebel supporter it wasn't easy watching Bearden beat Maryville by 23 points the other night. There is a silver lining though. I watched Drew Pember the other night. Drew Pember is 6'10 with a real good shooting touch and handles the ball well. He needs to get stronger. He is...

    '20 TN WR AJ Davis

AJ is quick as a cat and has great hands.

    Memphis East Basketball.

Watched them on ESPN the other night. They look like a college team. Frontcourt players go 6'10 6'9 and 6'8 that are 4-5 star juniors. That whole team will play D1 Basketball.

    Thank you Texas.

I think once the Big Name prospects sees the product Barnes is putting out they will come. There is a 2019 kid from Nashville showing a lot of interest named James Wiseman.

    Thank you Texas.

Thank you for firing Rick Barnes. Barnes coached Texas to 16 NCAA tourneys in 17 years. Now look at Texas. They have a losing record now. Rick Barnes inherited a mess at UT. With the way Cuonzo Martin quit after the 2014 season and the hiring of Donnie Tyndall hurt UT Basketball. It killed...

Maryville had their chances, but turnovers did them in. Good game.

I have watched Maryville Football for over 40 years. Oakland had the best defense I ever seen a Maryville team go against. Maryville's offense averaged over 40 points a game. Scored 43 on a Alcoa team that will more than likely win the 3A Title. Oaklands defense shut Maryville down. I saw where...

'18 TN QB/WR Alontae Taylor (UT commit 6/18/16)

Saw Alonte last night. He was a darn good player on a lousy team. Maryville could have scored 200 points on them.

Why is Maryville HS so Good?

Spare me this crap about how much harder the midstate has it. For years when Maryville was in 4A in a 5 class system all I heard was from those Rutherford County fans is we are the SEC of High School Football and Maryville is the Boise State of High School Football. When Maryville starts playing...
