Random thought: I'm so glad we beat Nick Saban before he retired. Only once -- but it matters. I have lingering angst over that smug POS James Franklin beating us his last two years at Vandy. We basically helped him get a new job and fat raise....

Winning cures all. If she wins, she'll be loved. And not just by you morans with a stiffie.

Welp, so much for that. He faded away. His physical limitations are too hard to overcome in a 4 round tournament. It’s fun to see him competitive again though, if only for a moment.

Hell, he’s 7 shots off the lead with only 20 guys ahead of him. He‘s in contention right now. Tomorrow is moving day, though. He’ll either inch closer to the top for a Sunday fight or the injuries will take their toll and he’ll fade away. If he’s within 3-4 shots of the lead with 6-8 guys...

Given his age, ongoing health issues, and how little competitive golf he's played in the last 12 months, it's unbelievable he's still competitive with the best golfers in the world. His talent and drive are just amazing. If not for the bimbos and car wreck, who knows how many more tournaments...

Exactly. This whole "root for the SEC" thing is nonsense. I hate em all.

I don't recall a UT basketball team whose fortunes depended so heavily on one player. Maybe the early-80s teams with Dale Ellis. The Allan Houston teams weren't good enough to matter. I wasn't around for the Ernie and Bernie teams. If Knecht has a mediocre game, the Vols are toast against...

'21 Temple Transfer CB Jalen McMurray (Tennessee)

Keep this in mind: "We" know nothing about Heupel's strategy for the roster. Where does this guy fit in the overall secondary plan? None of us know. Some of you are making this kid a shutdown corner when he could simply be a rotational DB. Not every transfer needs to be Darrell Revis folks...

I agree. That's where "effectively" comes into play. A mix of homegrown and transfer talent will be the key, I believe. Depth will be an issue from now on. How do you keep talent that isn't starting? I see a lot of parity in the future.

Not sure about the "home grown talent" idea. Things are different now. We're knee-deep in CFB free agency and there's no going back. Check out the 2023 rosters of UT and Florida State. Coaches who play the transfer game effectively will win.

I’m not saying I agree with the first reason — but it’s true. Drafting another QB besides Hooker wouldn’t have been an issue if were somebody besides Levis. Drafting Kentucky’s QB added salt to the wound. Hooker destroyed this guy head to head … twice. Perfect storm.

Two reasons: 1. The Titans drafted Levis instead of Hooker. Many UT fans held out hope Hooker would stay close. Instead, they draft the easy-to-hate Kentucky QB. Which brings us to… 2. He’s about a 1.3 out of 10.0 on the likability scale. Seriously. His attitude just screams...
