It's the defense, duh! How many possessions did Illinois hold it for 10+ plays? Why did our offense never see the ball once for the final 11:40 minutes and 25 snaps, despite 3 timeouts and the 2:00 warning?
This isn't football where the early season is essential. Teams pre-Christmas typically look vastly different by March.
The entire roster was remade and some of you expect it to be fluid every game by the start of the season.
