South Carolina is still elite. Just not 40-0 elite. And teams that have bigs and athletic guards are going to give them a run. The issues raised by UCLA aren't gone.
Also. NCAA. Stop with the early reveals. Just looks stupid with 4+ conferences games to play. Not to mention something like UCONN...
UCONN making a mockery of the SEC dominance narrative. Their defense has South Carolina totally flustered.
Might be good for the Gamecocks in the long run.
Breanna Stewart and Rebecca Lobo were both quoted that Notre Dame wasn't afraid of UCONN. They weren't intimidated by the name on the jersey which happened a lot in WBB the early and middle 2000's.
Tennessee Lady Vols are not afraid of South Carolina. I don't know if they'll win. But they...
It was a wide open shot that she absolutely should have taken. In fact her only fault was hesitating and not giving more time for a possible offensive rebound.
I mean Cardosa knew that an open shot doesn't give a rat's rear what your percentage is when it's there in the excruciating loss to...
People keep referring to the NCAA like its some separate entity from the schools. It's literally the schools themselves. it's rules got in the way of maximizing money for the football powers. They wanted a money laundering distributer like the NCAA basketball tournaments is. No complaints there...
She wasn't competing against 4 other players for shots (and attention) at DePaul. I don't believe in addition by subtraction. The whole concept is asinine. I do believe that LSU will have better chemistry and results with Morrow, Williams and Johnson taking a larger part of their offense...
Just read this thread today. The "those grapes were sour anyway" mentality, especially with regard to Lawson, is amusing. She was never going to take the job for a variety of reasons. Duke, with tougher entrance requirements, is on way more of an upswing than the Lady Vols. They've got 5 of...
Women's college preseason rankings are a bit like college football and basketball preseason rankings used to be during the 1970's. Whomever had the most starters and returning lettermen were ranked highest. It's a lot more layered than that.
I also believe ND is the squad whose talent exceeds...
If you've ever scrolled the UConn board you'll realize that no prospect actually ever turns them down. It's always the other way around. With rare exceptions. A'Ja Wilson, A. Boston, Haley Jones. Too late for "those grapes were sour anyway" routine. Especially Boston. And of course the Texas...
It rarely works like that. Sometimes players are more effective as reserves. And their flaws become more impactful with more playing time. Having to keep out of foul trouble will be a test. No Boston on the bench.
Nothing wrong with NIL if schools followed the letter and spirit. Unfortunately the schools that were paying players decades before the term was ever coined combined it with the transfer portal (bigger culprit) to make it even more lethal. But the tide is turning a bit. No tax haven says the...
This is a perfect example of why you have to watch what these kids do and not put 100% faith in what they or the "insiders" for your school say. He had visited ND at this point. Look at what non-Vol sources are reporting. It can be telling.
