I've always thought this was a weird commitment. Kid is athletic but doesn't dominate his competition and doesn't seem physical enough to be a H-back. I've seen about 6 of his games this year and he makes a play or two a game that wows you but then doesn't make the routine plays.
I coached against this kid this past football season and he was the best athlete we saw all year. He has legit speed and size. Obviously he played with Ugo Amadi and Martin was still the best player on the field. If he can fix his grades I like him as a corner.
I was at the Overton game also and is it just me or does the Offensive Coordinator try his hardest not to use Vic and Rashaan? Vic didn't touch the ball but maybe one time until 2 min before half. They put him at wildcat and he went about 60 yards and got them down to the 10. I just feel like...
I'm not sure of his exact squat numbers but last I heard it was well over 400. He is very stiff in the lower body so his squat and clean don't come as easy for him as bench. Strength isn't going to be his limitation at the next level. It's going to be his his ability to adjust to the speed of...
I don't think he is like Keyante because he isn't getting overly big. He is more cut than big. He is stiff though and needs to work on flexability and agility. He also takes really small strides. If they can fix that in college he could be a lot faster. He is just raw and needs some work. Also...
He got 420 on bench this week. He is hearing from Louisville and Miss State mostly the last time I heard. He is a good back but raw. My guess is he is on down the list for UT with the other backs we are in on.
Where did you study film of the smaller corners? Do you have some cut ups of them or just watch game film? I'm coaching DBs this year and my corners are tiny.
Pistol has nothing to do with the QB's mobility. It is designed to allow the QB to see the field better in passing situations and allow the running back to read the defense and get the ball while moving forward in running situations. I think its an great formation because its unpredictable. You...
