At the end the Houston player had not dribbled before going up in the air. After letting go of the ball i think he could have grabbed it or start dribbling it off the bounce.
Watching some film she seemed to get up and down the court pretty well. Also, elevated enough to block shots. A few of the top college teams had some heavier girls that were very effective. Maybe she isn't right for a pressing/running team though.
Looking at the VT game box score the starters all played 26 minutes or more. Only 3 subs played more than 10 minutes, the most being 14 minutes. That isn't wholesale platooning with starters getting to only play half of the game.
I haven't gone back to review your original post I I thought you implied she was a failure if the team didn't make the sweet sixteen. I would give her 2 or 3 years to develop a highly competitive team and look forelite eight or better results by year 4.
I don't have any specific news but thought it would be good to have a thread just on this topic. One name mentioned is Gracie Merkle at Bellermine. Not sure if she is in the portal but tall girl with good scoring and rebound stats. Sure hope all our current players stay.
