I know Felix had 18pts, but man watching his on-ball defense tonight was amazing.

If guys like Duncan Robinson and Doug McDermott can last in the league, I know DK can find a situation that works. BUT, only if he finds one in which he can grasp the team defensive scheme adequately. He will always be picked on defensively, they all were including JJ Reddick his whole career...

I love DK, but man he looks lost out there on defense. Doesn’t help that half the second team look just as bad.

Isn’t UTs add/drop date like mid-Feb? Thought I heard ours was pretty late so I can imagine other schools being the same. Also wasn’t there a couple cases where football players early enrolled in March? Perhaps there’s a loophole somewhere they can fit into.

Fair points and definitely the way I was leaning. It popped in my head simply because of DW’s preference to hire or recruit from the “up and coming” ranks. If he could identify an option a few years early and RB bring them on staff, maybe it’s a perfect storm. But also, I don’t know many sitting...

Out of curiosity, do you think Barnes would ever consider a “coach-in-waiting” type of hire/position a year or two before he retires? Maybe this has been discussed in another thread but I tend to avoid the overly negative/emotional coach discussion threads.

I would imagine much like football recruiting that as long as they’re enrolled before the add/drop deadline they’ll be fine.

Am I the only one that finds it hilarious that’s he’s only “eligible” to play us so far? The humor in there being no additional guarantee that he can play the whole season but just us for sure is comical.

Now if Leavitt leads LSU on just to delay them getting a good QB and then signs elsewhere…he kind of goes up in my book a little bit.
