Maybe APs concern is legit. Either you 1) Pay top dollar and throw the bag at the best available or 2) Take the analytics approach and identify “best fit” guys that you can use.
I know we’re not doing #1. I’m not convinced we can accomplish #2.
I think that when we were told that Tennessee has a “top collective” it was referring more to the operation than the total cash flow. Yes, we may have the #1 collective in terms of organization and operation but only top 10 in funds. Just a gut feel though.
Didn’t say that at all, but I am saying that most fans will not be as patient as you and wait until years 7 or 8 before judging a coaches performance. We didn’t beat any good teams this year and we looked outright sloppy much of the time. We can’t look like that again in 2026.
Coaches no longer have the luxury of building the program for the future. Because of the transfer portal all they have is the upcoming season. So even if they bring in a couple of great recruiting classes and it feels like we’re trending up for the future, it can be taken away by one bad portal...
