Living in the Louisville area I have never been high on Strong. There were other candidates that, although aren't perfect, seem to be better hires, but if UT will pay for the assistants then maybe we can do something. I think most of us wanted the WOW, we have got the NOW instead. Go Vols!

If Petersen goes to Arkansas and we get Strong, then UT has fallen more than we all want to believe. Petersen is a much bigger hire and a more proven HC.

That isn't a reason to hire him. If that was the case then the coaching search has a huge number of candidates.

Look at the stats, record against weak teams and recruiting is mid pack at best.
