We're going to be surprised by how well he does in the offense
Nico was overrhyped i think this could be a hooker 2.0 situation where a "back up" steps up and takes over (i jknow he's new to the roster but point being, I think we'll be better with whomever is QB1 this season than if we kept Nico)
Just pointing out JG was the object of derision for quite some time among the Vol fan base, but he's got a much better case for being a VFL than that traitor who will no longer be mentioned by name.
Hooker
hate to say it, but Josh's offense has look pedestrian with any other QB he's had so far not named Hendon Hooker.
Milton and Nico were okay at best in it.
Hooker made that offense really work and established Josh's rep as a genius offensive mind. Hopefully he can find another guy who...
There's no practical reason for it.
Hypothetically, if he came back, it would be so bad for the locker room, it would be a lose-lose for everyone.
Can't unring a bell.
Josh is a boss
he's handled so many tough situations and has had the Vols perform at a pretty high level. Extremely high compared to what we've seen post-Phil.
While Nico was leading us to our first CFP appearance ever that, by the Spring , Jarrett Guarantano would have a more favorable legacy in Vol Nation than Nico.
College Football has changed a lot since the Pandemic, and I frankly don't like the changes.
He is very impressive. Needs to mature a bit and get tougher in tough situations (he's 0-4 when trying to take game winning shots in close games or something like that, occurred most notably vs Houston), but he has tons of potential and is fun to watch.
